How it works
JevPicks is a community product-discovery platform for the Jev ecosystem: listings are free, rankings come from community votes, and the weekly launch turns the best builds into badge winners. Separate from all of that sits one small, clearly-labeled paid spotlight. Here are the exact rules.
Free listings & verification tiers
Anyone can submit a link — site, GitHub repo, X post, or video. Listings are free, forever.
Jev reviews every submission on the spot. Submit a link and the Jev model reads the page and decides in seconds — listed immediately when it checks out, with a reason when it doesn't. A GitHub repo or X post adds a ✓ verification tier to your listing.
Claiming is the strongest signal. Verify ownership with GitHub OAuth — repo owners are approved automatically. Claimed makers can enter the weekly launch and (soon) reply to comments.
The weekly launch (the competition)
Claimed builds go head-to-head for one ISO week. Votes are anonymous — no account needed — one vote per person per build per week, protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Every Monday 00:00 UTC the board settles: top 10 take permanent badges, ties break in favor of whoever reached the count first, and a build needs at least 2 founding-week votes (3 later) to place.
Current period: 2026-W45 — 1 builds on the live board. Next settle in 0d 20h.
Badges (what winners take home)
Weekly winners earn an embeddable badge — it links back to the permanent result page from wherever it's pinned: README, site, X profile.
Past results live in the leaderboard archive — one permanent page per week.
Paid spotlight (the one commercial surface)
The homepage sidebar spotlight is openly pay-to-rank: paste any product link, pay, and you're on the board — the link gets listed automatically. One-time bids in whole US dollars: new listings start at $1, later top-ups are $1 at a time, and taking #1 costs at least $1 more than the current top bid. Every paid rank is labeled as such.
Paid ranks never touch community rankings. The spotlight is a separate surface with its own ordering (total bid, ties to whoever bid first). Upvotes, weekly results, and badges are decided by votes only — money never moves them. The full board lives on the Spotlight page.
For makers
Submit → claim → pick a launch week → rally your community. Winners keep the badge forever, and the weekly result page becomes permanent proof the community picked your build.
